Covid and Library Book Safety

During these times, all returned library books will be put in special bins based on the day they are returned to school. The books will remain in their quarantine bins for 6 days, before they are available for checking out again. Thank you for your understanding.

Library Days

The following grades will have library on Tuesdays - Kindergarten, 6th Grade, 7th Grade, 1st and 2nd Grade.

The following grades will have library on Thursday's - 3rd grade, 8th grade, and 4th grade.

Kindergarten is allowed 1 book out at a time. Your student may keep the book out until their next library class. But, in order to take a new book out, their book must be returned by next library class.

First - Eighth grade will be allowed 2 books out at a time. Your student may keep the book out until their next library class or for a total of 2 weeks, just note, in order to take a new book out, no more than 2 books can be checked out at a time.

During the 2020-2021 school year, students will have access to the Destiny Discover web page where they can choose their library books. For the younger grades, we hope you can help them pick out their library books from home. Below is the link that you will use to see our current library collection. As new books are added each week, the collection will be automatically updated.

Summer Reading

Congratulations on 100% participation along with upping your game in books read. Here are some fun facts -

1460 Books Read in Summer of 2020 (up 364 from 2019 and 589 from 2018)

Kindergarten - Most books read - 272, followed by 1st Grade with 270

3 students read over 80 books, 2 students read over 60 books, 2 students read over 50 books, 13 students read over 30 books, 9 students read over 20 books, 9 students read over 10 books.
