Nature's Classroom

Grades 6 and 7 participate in a four day overnight trip to Nature's Classroom.  This trip provides outdoor education with program topics including environmental science, human ecology, physics, geology, social and cultural study, chemistry and other topics.  In addition, the programs help students build team skills and cooperative problem solving, which is particularly helpful at the beginning of the year.  Students sometimes work in multi-age classes at Kellogg School and need to work cooperatively in the laboratory, so these skills developed at Nature's Classroom often help them throughout the middle school years.
