At the Lee H. Kellogg School homework is assigned to:

- reinforce skills and material learned in class
- prepare students for upcoming class topics
- allow students to develop independent work habits and skills
- provide further proof of understanding and learning
- develop and improve organizational and time management skills
- allow students the opportunity to assume responsibility for their work
